This year marks the first full year of competition for the horses of Square Deal Stud. Flying our black and yellow silks, they've been giving a good account of themselves and our philosophy. Two of our homebreds, Three Sisters and Bletchley Park, have already broken their maidens. Our tough allowance mare Out Between Lord has scored three victories in eleven starts, as has our formerly hapless turf sprinter Extremely Till Con. All told, the stable has earned nearly $200,000, not including the payments we collected when some of our horses (including the homebreds Echo Hill and Torches of Liberty) were claimed away from us or sold.

It's been a good year, but we're hoping for bigger and better things for the next one. Our next goal: a homebred black-type winner. Wish us luck!
